Girl Crush.

"I'm attracted to everyone when I first meet them. And then it wears off. It always wears off"
American television network HBO, never fails to gift the UK via Sky Atlantic of great TV! As a network that originally provided  programs for the male audience, it was a shock when Sex and the City launched back in 1998, and ever since then both men and women cannot seem to get enough of having thirty-something's looking fabulous in designer gear discussing their trails and tribulations about love and relationships.
Since 2004 when SATC ended and after all the movies, that void has never been filled, well at least not for me, until Lena Dunham put her excellent writing skill to amazing use and gave us the television 'romantic-dramadey' known as 'GIRLS'.

The humour, youthful sensibility, reality and just sheer brilliance of it all, is what makes this show work. The format of friends on screen and us watching them live their lives never really went away, only with Girls, it was re-vitalised; with somewhat normal (except Shoshana), real average twenty-somethings trying to find their place in the world through love, sex and working life-set in one of the worlds greatest cities..New York.

I shan't go on about how much I am loving the show etc...but what has really struck a cord with me is one of the characters 'Jessa' played by Jemima Kirke. Her boho-chic style is just so real and laid back; her attitude towards life is evident in the way she dresses: she doesn't give a damn but she still cares enough to wear red lippy.
I'm sure alot of high-street stores like Topshop and Miss Selfridge will take her style and use it as inspiration for their upcoming seasons.

Taking inspiration from the SS13 collections, channel Jessa's style with looks similar to designers like Issa and Emilio Pucci.
Bright, floral jumpsuits and maxi dresses create an easy way to dress whilst added with some platforms and a vintage headscarf gives a slight nod to 70's glam boho-chic.
