All Vogue and no power.

The original cake before all my family decapitated it.

My weekend started off with a sombre mood- an area powercut meant no tv, internet, or KETTLE to make tea. But the night before Friday I spent the day cheekily watching Transforms 3D and blowing out candles with my mom celebrating her birthday and my sister Master baker and cake extraordinaire baked this beauty for my Mom;a white chocolate and coconut cake with chocolate dipped strawberries. TOTALLY LUSH. Luckily we got the leftovers and it made my day as I spent it reading all my Vogues till the power came back 3 hours later but only for the internet to crash!

Day 16; Fashionable I-pad Love.

If your love budget is not so great, then invest in an Apple gift card, which will allow your recipient to splurge in either the applications store or in i-tunes, treating themselves to buy games and books for their i-pod/i-pad. It is most enjoyable for you if you urge them to purchase magazines you both enjoy reading like Vogue or GQ-then it really will be a merry Christmas for you both! Available at Apple.

Being nocturnal has it's advantages....

....whilst moseying on the internet tonight as I was about to search through google.com, I noticed on the bottom of the screen 'change background image' (sorry if I'm like the last one to discover this lol) so I went on ahead and added a few of my fav pics from my blog as my backgrounds on my google page and this is the outcome!
I like to call this one 'Forget being a BOND girl...I'm a google girl'

'Frolicking in the gardens' Melissa Samasuwo

A bit like a million and one matchsticks all piled high!
Piece by Kengo Kuma
My current background which is just awesomely-inspiring by one of my favourite artists
Dale Chihuly.

French Vogue Mars 2010

This is my first purchase of French Vogue; ever! Loved the military
inspired editorial, courtesy of model Liya Kebede, photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. I genuinely loved looking/flicking through this issue (my french reading skills aren't exactly up to par), the difference I found between this and British Vogue, is that the campaigns of the french companies/houses are more editorially based making them part of the magazine rather than looking like another advert giving them more of an edge and more appeal. All in all- fabulous.
