Bordelle..oh la la..

Setting out to break into the industry with their unique style through the use of elastic satin bandages, Bordelle, was founded in 2007 by Alexandra Popa and freelance designer Javier Suarez. Their approach is that similar to ready to wear collections, creating sexy lingerie with an outerwear appeal. One of their strengths relies on attention to detail and craftsmanship, which is what set’s them apart from other body-wear and intimate apparel brands.  Chic, unique, sexy and slightly sadistic are all words that come to mind when seeing their s&m inspired pieces.

Their signature piece the ‘hourglass ‘Angela’ corselette’ is my favorite. It’s various colours, and cup shapes all celebrate the female form-which I love. This look has a ‘I’m on top’ sort of vibe yet it’s curve enhancing and embracing nature-to me releases a sense of romanticism but still remaining strong and modern-this is not for the faint hearted that’s for sure, however the various pieces within the collection still enable you to look your innocent best.

Uber sexy and feminine, and very reminiscent of the classic Dolce and Gabbana corset dress and Herve Leger’s ‘bandage dress’, which was very big among the Hollywood scene, this corset speaks volumes on the approach and views of the Lingerie and Intimate’s market today. 100 years on from the first ‘Bra/Brassiere’ invented, to today and Bordelle’s embark of that same history makes them unique and refreshingly exciting in a way that will inflict a ‘good covet’ upon many women to agree to their new found urge of needing a Bordelle Bra, Waspie, Corset and peek-a-boo suspender.
